November 1st, 2012 marked one year since we bought our house! I posted "before" and "demo" photos at the start of our remodel process and can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. I originally planned on blogging throughout our remodel process, but it was impossible. We lived in an apartment during the messy part and as a result needed to get the remodel done as quickly as possible so that we could move in. Matt and I would work all day, grab Subway for dinner and head to the house and work until 11 pm most nights. We spent our weekends working on the house as well. It was an exhausting process, but something we will always cherish because we did it all on our own. Okay not really... We were blessed to have the help of our family and friends - without them our house probably would not have walls or plumbing fixtures. We took a much needed break over the summer - spending time with family, friends and being outdoors. We are now at the point where our house is comfortable and livable, with little tedious projects left to do like painting all of the interior doors, adding trim and baseboard. Things that I Matt and I have learned to ignore, but to an outsider are probably totally annoying. We will get there. Once our house gets to a presentable state, I plan to post "before, during and after" photos of each room. I am excited to share the process of how we transformed each room! In the meantime, here are some "during" shots:
Thank you to all of our family and friends who helped make our house a home. We are forever grateful for the love and support that each of you helped pour into our home!
