4th of July

This year, we spent the 4th of July hanging out at our new home with a few friends.  I wasn't sure how I felt about being away from our home town where the rest of our family and friends were celebrating.  However, spending 4th of July in our very own home turned out to be quite a special celebration for these reasons:
blueberry, strawberry & banana pancake breakfast
a parade that went right down our street
lawn games (including my fave - adult size Jenga)
listening to some all american music
bbq ribs, watermelon, baked beans, potato salad
bonfire with s'mores
... and my favorite part of the day was a 360 degree view of firework shows right from our backyard!
We even hopped up on the roof for a better view!

Hope you had a happy 4th of July!  God Bless America.
