The Smith Residence

We bought a house - a 1958 fixer-upper!  After a rather long waiting process, we are finally in and happily tearing out flooring, wallpaper and even some walls.  We have been busy going over to the house every night after work and spending weekends working away on our little fixer-upper.  We are hoping to get in as soon as possible, but do not plan to move in until the bathrooms are finished, walls painted and flooring is in.  This place will always be a work in progress, but we want to get as much of the big, messy stuff done before we move in.  I will be posting "before" photos and show you our process as we demo and progress!

  13. Congratulations! I've grown up in a family that loved fixer-upers, so I know that once I look for my own house, that will be one of the pre-requisites.

    1. Hello! We ended up completely remodeling most of the rooms in our house - the kitchen and both bathrooms. We are still finishing up little projects and have put off others (like painting the interior doors, trim and adding baseboard). I am anxious to post photos of our house, but need to it to feel a little more finished before I can post the "after" photos. Thanks for your interest and I hope to post them soon!
