Try this out.

You probably think I am crazy for suggesting this recipe, but I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised!  The taste is totally bare-able, even kind of delicious.  For someone who used to take choke down wheat grass shots for the healthy benefits - the green smoothie is a much more delicious option.  

Here are the healthy details:  It's a daily detox.  16 ounces is 100% of the USDA recommended total daily amount of veggies for women.  20 ounces for men.  Since the vegetables and fruits are chopped and blended, your body doesn't have to break them down to get the nutrients.  The fiber in the drink helps you feel full so you don't overeat.

Now go get blending!  It only takes about 10 minutes.  
The smoothie will last up to 2 days in the fridge or can be frozen to thaw out at a later time.

  2. ok, I make myself a fresh juice almost every morning, and I throw in a lot of healthy stuff for added vitamines and whatever else might be in there, but that recipe sounds a bit too green for my taste. I will give it a try, but I'm not convinced yet :)
