The Nines

This past weekend we spent part of our New Year's Eve at The Nines. We were en route to Departure to show an "out of towner" the gorgeous rooftop views of the city. We stopped off in the hotel lobby and I became quite distracted. I just stood in the middle of the lobby lounge, wide eyed and gazing around like a kid in a candy shop. This 15 story beauty was constructed in 1909 and served as the flagship store and headquarters for Meier & Frank before it was renovated into The Nines - a luxurious hotel.
Check. it. out...

Didn't actually get to see a guest room, but I came across the photos when stalking the hotel website - they are so gorg that I wanted to share them.

We played a few games of pool in here.
I loved the dark, moody, sophistication of this room. Matt said he would like a room like this in our home some day :)
Here are some photos that I snapped while hanging out in the library -

I want to put tree stumps in my place!

  1. Ooh- so Mad Men. Love it- especially the shot of the boys at the end. Jealous I missed out on a New Year's Eve with you guys, especially sans sushi.... You guys made me crave sushi on New Year's Eve.
