All of the photos shown above are decor details that I created for my wedding day. Well, not quite - mad props to my dad for making the ceremony arbor and whipping up the card box in about 10 minutes! No joke! My mom, grandma and aunt helped me create the floral arrangements (bouquets, boutonnieres, table centerpieces and fresh flowers on cake) the day before the wedding. I could not have done it without them!
I enjoyed getting creative before the big day and making all these little details. Looking back at them makes me wish I would have done even more DIY projects!

If you have the time and patience, I recommend creating some of your own wedding details. Why? Because it saves $ and is rewarding doing these projects yourself that you can take the credit for! From now on I will encourage my friends to do their own wedding flowers. All it takes is some patience, youtube "how to" videos and creativity! Happy crafting friends!

  2. I totally agree about the flowers! You did a BEAUTIFUL job. That arbor is also really gorgeous, maybe you can keep it in your backyard as a happy reminder (or even pass it on as an heirloom!) Also really love your JCrew jewelry : )
